As summer starts to get into gear, (I was out on the lawn drinking a beer and reading 'Fermat's Last Theorem' yesterday afternoon), the roar of F1 engines hits Europe and we seem to be having bank holidays every other week it must be May/June and time for another journal. It has been a busy time for me since, as predicted in issue 2, Bill Ritchie had to leave the web mastering to me this time.

This issue introduces a first for an ICPUG journal, paper or electronic, in the use of colour photographs. Francis Townsend relates the story of big iron in the UK and illustrates it with photographs taken at the time. He also tells us how the lottery technology harks back to that of the good old punched card.

Bill Wood continues to tell of his early experiences of computing. This time he describes his first steps into the PC World.

Ken Ross covers a variety of topics, including how to wire a Commodore 64 to the Scart socket of a TV, in the latest instalment of computing with a small budget.

Alan Crease tells us how to use Partition Magic as a backup tool as well as trying to decide what computer to make for his relatives.

My main contributions this month cover some aspects of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Outlook Express that seem to be hidden from users.

Issue 3 includes the same amount of content as last time, which is too little! Let's have some more contributions. Deadline for the next issue is 15th July.
