You may remember my article in the first issue of the Y2K E-Journal concerning the incredible floppy disk demo. Some time after that I started an e-mail conversation with Agache Dan, a Romanian student. Although speaking little English, Agache told me that he was doing a project on operating systems and was having trouble getting his QNX system to boot. He appeared to have purchased the full blown system but must have found out about my interest through the E-Journal. Anyway, we exchanged a number of e-mails and eventually I decided to send a copy of the incredible floppy disk demo to Romania via snail mail.

This again emphasises the benefits of the all electronic ICPUG over the old organisation. With e-mail rather than snail mail two-way conversations can take place anywhere in the world, overcoming difficulties such as minimal knowledge of language. I had to use e-mail to send the floppy, rather than an e-mail attachment, as the QNX system uses a specially formatted disk.
