WEBMASTER'S WAFFLE
by Brian Grainger
trainee webmaster for
Bill Ritchie:
After saying last time that I was going to start overhauling the web site I have done precious little over the last 2 months. Blame it on Christmas getting in the way! That is my excuse any way.
However, I think it would be wise for you to take offline copies of last year's E-Journals, if you want to. They may disappear in March.
Bill contacted me at Christmas and he tells me that he is managing to sort his life out now. There is a chance he will be back editing again shortly.
I hope the Amigans appreciate the amount of news we are managing to gather these days. Thanks to Betty Clay, John Bickerstaff, Alan Crease and a little surfing by me I try to get the latest Amiga news up on our pages as soon as possible. I just wish I could report that a new Amiga platform was to be released.
After months of displaying a web page which said: 'The Transmeta web site is not here yet', Transmeta, the company Linus Torsvald works for, has finally released details of its processor Crusoe to the world. If it lives up to the rumours it should be very interesting. Take a look.
Our 8-bit correspondent, Ken Ross, achieved more fame this last month. The COMAL section on his pages has been recognised by the Macharsoft team and a link to Ken's pages has been placed on the Macharsoft site. It is worth mentioning that the Macharsoft site is probably the best COMAL resource on the web. Old COMALites should take a look.
