Webmaster's Waffle

Well here we are with edition 2 of our e-zine! It's still not as thick as I would like to see it (if one can judge thickness in electronic form!), but in some respects that is just as well for me at present. Not for the first time in my recent past I find my life is being dictated by events taking place hundreds of miles away - over which I have not control whatsoever. As a result my life has been very hectic of late, and I have been working some long and unsociable hours. Well, they tell me that's what I'm paid for! Anway, in case you were wondering - that's what Brian Grainger was referring to in his editorial when he stated that he has been learning how to handle web page authoring. Don't worry, Brian - it's not that difficult, and if I do have to dash off to Bongo Bongo land I'm sure you will do a great job.
My thanks to those who have submitted articles for this edition, and in particular to Bill Wood who has taken the plunge to write his very first article. It takes enough bottle to write for a paper magazine, but knowing that what you write is ending up on the Internet for the world to read takes just a little more courage. Well done Bill. So to the rest of you who may be thinking of taking the plunge, take a leaf out of Bill's book and come on in - the water's fine!
I hope that I'm going to be around to put the next edition on line, but in the event that I'm not, I will be heading for the nearest Internet connection I can find to see the results.
