IN MEMORIAM
IAN AISBITT

If you have read the History of ICPUG on this web site you will notice mention is made of Ian Aisbitt. Ian was a very staunch supporter of the Amiga and took ICPUG to task for not writing enough about the Amiga, (at the time when the PC was the main machine in town). Ian was the only person I know of who, on buying a PC and finding he did not like it, took it back and got his money returned!

Just recently his son Simon sent an e-mail to say that, sadly, his father had passed away in September 2004, after suffering a heart attack whilst on holiday in Germany. It was very sudden, but he did not suffer.

Simon asked me to pass this news on to those who may have known his father and wondered why he has not been heard of for a long time.

Simon also said in his e-mail that his father had been encouraged to get a PC but remained a staunch supporter of the Amiga. If only there had been a few more like Ian the Amiga may still be around today.
