CONNECTION PROBLEMS WITH ONE-TEL |

Further to the news of the slow logons with Freeserve I have been informed by Ken Ross that a similar problem has occurred with One-Tel recently. Ken could only get online for, at best, 3 minutes before being cut off! - most times it was 30 seconds. He had to spend 6 minutes to get through to their 50p a minute technical help line, (which used to be free), to be told to use a new phone number. So, if any of you use the old One-Tel number to access the web, 0808 140 1877, then save yourself a £3 call to the technical help line and use the following number instead: 0808 991 6877 Not using the One-Tel service myself I cannot give exact details of how to change the telephone number on the PC but I guess it will be very similar to the method for changing the Freeserve number. |
