ADDING SERIES 1 PUPPY TO THE
LINUX BOOTLOADER MENU

Using Notepad, or your favourite text editor, open up the menu.lst file that was downloaded in step 1. Windows XP users will find it at the top of the C drive. Windows 9x users will find it in the c:\boot\grub folder.

Add the appropriate lines below IMMEDIATELY BEFORE the last line of ######### symbols

title Puppy Linux 1.0.9CE
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/puppy.109ce/vmlinuz root=/dev/ram0 PFILE=pup001-none-262144
initrd (hd0,0)/boot/puppy.109ce/image.gz
boot

Close the Notepad window and click Yes when asked Do you want to save the changes.

That's the end of Step 4

Information for Technical Users: Please click HERE if your Windows OS is not on the first partition of the first hard disk or the vmlinuz or initrd.gz files are not located on the Windows partition.
